My Must-Haves

May 18, 2020

I was curating the perfect collection of clothes and accessories for a trip to Paris and Amsterdam in June. THAT'S NOT HAPPENING ANYMORE! I guess I'll have to model the 20+ looks in the house. Here's a few of the stand-out pieces in my "cancelled trip to Europe" suitcase.

I had to move mountains to get these Dior D-Trap ankle boots (available at Dior). These fishnet cutout boots were a key piece on the runway. The reinvented combat boot has a leather flap with double buckles and a few signature Dior features - the bee, gold Christian Dior logo and black star on the sole. These boots would have turned heads in Paris - maybe next year..

I'm a HUGE fan of Moschino t-shirts. They're high quality and make a statement. I was planning to pair this Moschino BULLCHIC! t-shirt (available at Farfetch) with a Tibi turquoise jacquard midi skirt and the Dior D-Trap boots. It would have been my Carrie Bradshaw in Paris moment. No worries - this t-shirt will not go to waste.

My sunglasses collection is overflowing, BUT I managed to fit one more pair in there. These DiorCamp aviator sunglasses (available at Farfetch) were made for me. The straight pink arms don the CD logo and the slightly tinted pink lens adds sofiticaticon. LOVE!

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to snag this Christian Dior Book Tote (available at Dior). It is gorgeous. The Toile de Jouy embroidered pattern was inspired by Mr. Dior's muse. I love the complexity of the pattern, along with the grey shades and Christian Dior signature on the front.

The Dior book tote is timeless and while it is reinvented each season, the old ones never go out of style. Interesting fact - you can collapse these totes and pack them nicely in your suitcase.

The iconic Moschino teddy bear has a three dimensional effect and a playful vibe. The teddy bear makes an appearance each season and is super cute. I like that this one is bursting through a piece of art. From a fashion obsessed state of mind - this Moschino teddy bear t-shirt (available at Farfetch) is a piece of art.

I have a very basic hairstyle - a slightly slanted bob, colored black. It's chic, but you can't do much with it. Albeit, hair clips do add a little flare. I purchased this Off-White two-toned hair clip (available at Revolve) to hold my tiny strands together and add a little contrast. The white and black clip holds my thin hair nicely and looks great against my black hair.

My Must-Haves

March 06, 2020

On the runway these urban modern Diorcamp boots are paired with an all-white look; donning white, framed glasses and a short feather-embellished anorak. Of course, I had to have these boots. I'm a big fan of the cargo-style and off-white is my go-to shade.

When I opened the box to unveil these must-have Dior boots, I was surprised that they were rubber and had print along the sides. The print says CHRISTIAN DIOR PARIS and MAINTENIR LE DOUBLE LACAGE SERRE. There ya have it fashionable friends - double laces are on trend..

There is also a bee printed at the back to arouse curiosity and a black star on the sole. These rubber boots have a reinforced neoprene sock for comfort and of course, can be worn in the rain.

I initially thought the Diorcamp boots were your average, cargo-stye - NOPE! I'm thrilled to don these unexpected, statement rubber boots.

One of my new favorites - Baum Und Pferdgarten, one of the leading Danish fashion houses. The collections are colorful and fun. I saw this Baum Und Pferdgarten Cassiopeia knitted sweater on the runway and patiently waited for it to become available online. This slightly cropped chunky knit has a round neckline, dropped shoulders and contrasting print that says LET ME DANCE.

Every few seasons, I latch on to a new designer and Dior has been my favorite for a while now. I LOVE this Dior off-white, embroidered camouflage saddle bag. This bag design is synonymous with the brand and while the saddle bag shape remains the same, each season this style is reinvented. I'm obsessed with camouflage, off-white and well.. this is a match made in b.a.gorgie heaven.

Oh Dior - I'm so obsessed with Dior! The latest J'adior cotton oblique bracelet set in my collection is black and white. These bracelet sets are perfect for layering. I like to wear one cotton set, along with a delicate palladium finished bracelet and beaded bracelet.

I was recently shopping in SOHO, NY. After Dior I decided to give the AMEX a break. Until this Balenciaga Ville xxs top handle handbag begged me to take it home. I wouldn't consider myself a Balenciaga fan, but this mini bag was just too perfect. I love the pale pink shade and contrasting white Balenciaga print.

As I'm writing this My Must Haves post, I'm realizing that I'm into clothes and accessories with words printed on it - The boots, sweater and bag. Hmm.. didn't even notice that was a trend in my Spring collection till now.

While I often stray from my Fendi obsession, I always come back. These Fendi sunglasses have a gold-toned frame, pink lenses and the iconic mirror-effect Pequin motif. This sporty style is modern and unique to my sunglasses collection.

My Must-Haves

May 06, 2019

I'm obsessed with these Dior sunglasses (available at MyTheresa). The unique, oversized mask design showcases beige acetate frames and tonal lenses. This style is available in two lense shades - rosy pink and beige. These neutral DiorSoLight sunglasses are a statement. LOVE!

The Balenciaga logo-printed cotton shirt (available at MyTheresa) is available in many colors this season and perfect for layering or worn alone and oversized for a chic-comfy look. This one is my favorite colors for summer - the turquoise shade is gorgeous and looks great against sun-kissed skin. I would don this cotton shirt over a neutral summer dress.

These Off-White black zip tie jelly sandals (available at Farfetch) bring me back to the eighties. I used to wear jelly shoes when I was little and love seeing old trends reinvented. These sandals are reminiscent of the typical Canadian-style sandal and I highly suggest donning chic socks under these rubbers. This modern design is easy-going and fashion-forward.

I'm a HUGE Chloé fan, but as of late, have been exploring other designers (tryna mix it up). My attempt to change has failed, cause the Chloé Spring/Summer collection is perfection AND I'm obsessed all over again.

This Chloé Tess shoulder bag (available at MyTheresa) embodies the brand. This bag evokes a Western vibe and pairs with the bohemian Chloé look perfectly. The flap has embossed brown leather and dons the signature circular hardware. The Tess style is a cult-classic and this season it combines neutral shades with a pop of turquoise. It's a MUST HAVE!

This brass and blue lacquer femininities earring reinterprets a historical Chloé symbol. The earring is sold separately and features a hand holding a gold-tone chain and blue lacquered horse. This single earring is bold, feminine and unique.

I was almost too late to indulge in the newest coveted style from Louis Vuitton. I was perusing Instagram and saw two of my favorite fashion bloggers donning this bag - Of course, I had to have it! As many of you know, snagging a "limited availability" item at LV can be challenging and although my LV-angel was unable to procure the bag, I was able to purchase one of two left in the United States (with the help of 1-866-VUITTON and my husbano). I'm a happy girl!

The giant/mini monogram canvas features the signature motif in neutral shades. I love the beige, white and green combination. The colorblocking is brilliant and gives this belt bag a unique, fun vibe. This Louis Vuitton Bumbag is also available in red, pink and white.

This Louis Vuitton Bumbag (available at LouisVuitton) just landed a spot on my go-to handbag shelf. If snagging this bag is any indication of my fashion luck this summer - it's gonna be a good one!

Brand Obsession - Off-White

September 28, 2018

Off-White is an Italian luxury brand founded in Milan and created by American designer, Virgil Abloh. The Italian streetwear label is fairly new (founded in 2012), but has already landed a spot on the must-have, high-end fashion list. The print detail is synonymous with the Off-White brand and widely recognizable.

These Off-White Wellington Riding Boots scream festival in the rain. I love a good pair of wellingtons paired with gypsy style clothing. Don these boots with shorts or a skirt and accessories - this look is young and distinctive. I would wear these boots with a peach tulle skirt, t-shirt and backpack.

Logo printed lingerie seems to be a thing these days. Admittedly, I went a little crazy over the Victoria's Secret Logo Love collection. The Off-White lineup has a few lingerie items with logo print and they're gorgeous. This Logo Strap Longline Bra and Slip with a logo printed elastic waistband are the perfect juxtaposition of feminine lace, along with the printed waistband typically identified with men's undergarments. The longline bra features a floral lace pattern, banded straps and ruffled hem. If I was skinny and near perfect, I'd wear this around the house!

This Off-White Knitted Logo Cuff Wool Blend Sweater is Perfection. The distressed, asymmetrical hem and grey printed cuffs give this otherwise plain sweater style a sporty vibe. I love knits and have too many, but I can always make room in my closet for another one. Paired with high-waisted denim and a knitted toque, this look says I'll be at the ski lodge sipping spiked hot chocolate.

These Off-White Riding Boots were created in collaboration with Timberland. The leather and cotton exterior feature the expected print and the harness detail dons blue faux fur wool trim. These boots are anything but boring. This riding boot style is available in other color combinations and they're all amazing.

I personally think the sneaker department is little outta control these days and a trend I refuse to give in to. I'm just not feelin' the oversized running shoe, with the giant rubber sole and ridiculous embellishments (I'm talkin' about Gucci). These Off-White CST-001 Sneakers are kinda fun, a little outside the norm, but not too over-the-top. They're sporty, unique and a similar fit to a sock-style, flat boot. I'd pair these with chic joggers and an oversized sweater. This modern athleisure style has a platform sole, touch strap fastening and a zip tie tag detail.

The Off-White "Sculpture" Canvas Tote is simple, but not. The detachable logo-printed strap and "Sculpture" printed canvas take this small tote from boring to unique. These are my favorite color combinations and I would love to see these shades and strap on an oversized Off-White tote.

The Bomber Jacket

February 28, 2018

Bomber jackets seem to never go out of style, but this staple jacket had a major fashion moment in 2017. I noticed a surge in mens bombers last year - no surprise, men and bomber jackets go hand-in-hand. In the 50's, this military style (bomber style) jacket made it's way from, well, men in the military to the streets. Bombers made another comeback in the 90's. In 2018, the rebellious fashion attitude has the bomber momentum going strong again.

The bomber jacket is the perfect season transitioning outerwear. Light-weight jackets and layers are suitable for the in-between season. You can pair the bomber jacket with anything - really! Casual looks, day dresses AND even more elegant looks. The bomber adds a roughness and contrast to the 'all dressed-up and goin' somewhere special look'. This urban style jacket is relaxed and evokes a 'cool' vibe.

This Spring, relaxed fit and oversized bombers with graphic logos across the back are on-trend. Yeah, you can opt for the traditional military green, camo and navy fabrics, or you can add a little intrigue as you're walking away. 'You thought I looked good from the front - wait till I turn around'! Arm patches, appliqués and embellished zipper pull tags make this long-time staple jacket modern again.

This silk Valentino bomber jacket (available at Mytheresa) is everything (really, there's a lot going on here)! I love the pale pink stripe with yellow piping along the shoulders and sleeves. The contrast against the olive green satin is perfect. The black and white ribbed trims are traditional and chic. The color combination is genius. The beaded and embroidered butterfly appliqués on the front, back and sleeves are gorgeous. Truly amazing! This reinvented bomber jacket is my favorite this season.

The collegiate varsity inspired Miu Miu appliquéd satin-shell bomber jacket (available at NET-A-PORTER) is sporty and fun. The red and white bouclé 'M' patch and glass-beaded flamingo add a playful vibe to the muted shades navy and antique-rose. This relaxed fit bomber jacket has snap buttons and ribbed trims.

The eagle appliqué on the back of this Off-White satin varsity jacket (available at Mytheresa) is all biker jacket meets bomber jacket. The snap buttons and black and white ribbed trims give this jacket a sporty vibe, while the eagle and flower reference denotes femininity and freedom.

Another one of my favorites - the Off-White camouflage bomber jacket (available at Mytheresa). I LOVE camo and have seen this print up close - it's vibrant and the high-contrast white logo across the back elevates this design. The slouchy fit feels like you're wearing your guys clothes and the O-ring zipper and durable fabrication are the epitome of the bomber jacket.

From the Thomas Maier Spring 2018 collection - this duchess-satin bomber jacket (available at NET-A-PORTER) is anything but boring. The combination of the gray, camo sleeves, and pink and red striped trims is feminine and fun. The pink flamingo appliqué is cute and girlie. There seems to be many bird references this spring.

P.E Nation is a athletic clothing brand AND this red and blue striped bomber jacket (available at Mytheresa) will definitely elevate your work-out look. It's a bit 'loud', so I'd opt for an all black ensemble underneath. The toggle zip is branded with the P.E Nation logo and the red stripes around the sleeves are giving me a race-car clothing vibe.

My Must-Haves

February 15, 2018

I'm in a neutral kinda mood these days - inside and out. I just want to surround myself with relaxing, light hues. Of course, Yeezy is my have-to-have clothing line (I'm obsessed), but Off-White is creeping up on the list of favorites.

I have too many gray sweaters. Nah, you can never have too many gray sweaters. It may seem odd, but gray is my best color. Must be the pale, olive skin tone, pink and peach makeup (always) and black hair that compliments my otherwise muted clothing selection - gray is my go-to shade.

This Off-White logo sweatshirt (available at Farfetch) is everything I want in a comfy cotton sweatshirt. The small 'Off' print beneath the collar adds a little something. I'm gonna purchase a large and wear this sweater again and again..

I have been searching for the perfect oversized (weekend) bag for months. Someone 'special' gave me the Fenty by Rhianna giant faux fur shopper for Christmas and I LOVE IT! You know when you light a cigarette and the bus shows up - I'm seeing amazing oversized bags everywhere and I want this Yeezy Season 5 gym bag (available at Farfetch). This unisex, calf suede gym bag is huge. It has two round top handles and a detachable shoulder strap for crossbody wear. I especially like the light gray shade of the straps against the pale camel color of the suede. A must have!

Off-White is swiftly becoming one of my favorite clothing and accessory lines. This Off-White camouflage bomber jacket (available at Mythreresa.com) is slouchy, has a retro O-ring zipper and dons the labels logo in bright white across the vibrant camo print back for high-contrast. LOVE!

This white lamb skin lunch bag clutch by Simon Miller (available at Farfetch) is so simple, BUT unique and fun. This is one of those bags people will notice.

I'm obsessed with the 'sock boot' style. Each Yeezy collection reinvents the Yeezy sock-style boot in muted shades, with casual embellishments and a variety of heel styles. Last seasons style didn't work for me. I purchased two sizes and they just didn't fit right? Season 6 launched a new style that fits perfectly. Contrary to what I've said in the past, this seasons style is comfy and wearable. The Yeezy ankle boot in chalk is perfection. Of course, I already own these boots!

The Yeezy brand is dominating my 'I'm Coveting..' post. I have to have this season 5 rip hoodie (available at Farfetch and Revolve). If worn oversized, the raw-cut neck line will allow for an off-one-shoulder look. This sweatshirt will look great with distressed denim and my Yeezy season 6 ankle boots.

My Must-Haves

January 08, 2018

Maybe it's the insanely cold weather, and I'm in a boot mood - Nah, I'm just obsessed with shoes! I'm browsing the web and drooling over these boots - and a pair of sneakers.

Stretch boots by Rick Owens are my dream boot. These cotton and lambskin stretch boots are my two favorite shoe designs in-one - a flat shoe and sock-like fit. I'm old'ish' and appreciate flats. I used to prounce around in five-inch heels, through the snow, on ice.. these days, I'm opting for practical, but trendy shoes. These stretch boots are perfect. Too bad I blew the shoe budget on Fendi Rockoko boots (insert sad face).

I'm a Yeezy 'clothing' fan. AND love these Yeezy (season 5) ankle boots. The black jersey fabric and fitted sock style look great with fitted pants and my favorite - sweatpants. Yeah, I wear high-heeled boots with my sweatpants. These boots are also available in beige. Beware though, I have a few pair of Yeezy boots and they're anything but comfy!

Each season Fendi reinvents the Rockoko boot. The style remains 'perfect', but the new colors and embellishments carry this boot season to season. I'm obsessed with Fendi Rockoko boots. They are super comfy and look great with everything. This season, the pearl bow design is my favorite. The black stretch yarn is embellished with a row of pearls that create a double bow on the vamp. LOVE! Admittedly, I'm not coveting these Fendi boots - I already purchased them and am waiting for the snow to melt, so I can show them off!

I'm a huge sneaker fan (flats are friends). Saint Laurent classic canvas sneakers are easy-going with a little hmm.. 'Saint Laurent'. I like the combination of white canvas with off-white laces and eye stay. I typically don't wear clothing and accessories with designer names printed on them,  but I'll make an exception for these sneakers. The muted shades and messy Saint Laurent print is subtle and giving me a Golden Goose vibe.

My Must-Haves

November 30, 2017

My 'I'm Coveting' post this month is my favorite so far. Typically, I'd include unattainable items that make me drool - This month, I chose clothing and accessories from my Christmas wishlist and a few things I recently purchased. I'm still in awe of the Fendi boots and Prada bag (a girls gotta dream).

I purchased this Fenty X Puma rose pink front lace hoodie (was available at Farfetch) for a night out in Vegas. It's called a hoodie, but the oversized style puts this soft, cotton sweater in the sweater dress category. I paired this hoodie with an oversized, pink MIU MIU faux shearling clutch and beige, Rockoko Fendi boots. I looked good! This hoodie is super cozy, and the front lace detail adds to an otherwise basic style. Your accessories will take this from day to dinner to the club.

I love the 'clear lense' trend. These Chloé gold-tone aviator optical glasses are my favorite. I did purchase them, but the frames were warped, so I sent them back. Unfortunately, they're super hard to get now, so I opted for a different Chloé style. Fashion frames with clear, non-prescription lenses are modern and enhance your face. I like the retro style frames, but each person is different - opt for a frame that suits you. The 'geek, hipster' style looks great on everyone. The oversized frames make you look cute and  well, 'geeky'.

These boots are AMAZING! I'm a little obsessed with Fendi Rockoko fabric boots (available at Fendi). Each season this style is available in new colors and embellishments. These gray stretch fabric boots are embellished with pink and burgundy tone daisy flowers, have a striped heel, and two 'sock-style' stripes around the shaft. These boots are a statement. Surprisingly, Rockoko boots are super comfy - I can wear them for hours. I'm hoping for a new pair this season (hint hint).

This Off-White down the shoulder shirt (available at Revolve) is grungy, sexy and unique - the sleeves are super-long, with an oversized cuff embellished with round metal-tone buttons. The checkered plaid, slouchy look and tie waist bring the grunge, while the off-the-shoulder style brings the glam. I have this top and LOVE it! This Off-White top is also available in white.

The latest Fenty Puma by Rihanna is inspired by classic school uniforms. The collection is fun, sexy and rich in color. This Fenty Puma by Rihanna trapper hat is on my Christmas wishlist. The elongated flaps look warm and cozy - I'm sure this hat will keep me toasty this winter season.

I mentioned this Prada fur shopper (available at mytheresa.com) a few weeks ago. It's available in white with blue and green pompoms and rose with red pompoms. This shopper is huge and isn't structured, so you can stuff a lot of everything here. I realize white fur is not ideal, but I want it!

The Shopper

October 30, 2017

I'm not the kinda girl that lugs around everything but the kitchen sink. SO, totes are not my thing. BUT I need a large tote for travel. As hard as I try, I'm never gonna fit all my stuff in a carry-on suitcase for a weekend getaway. A shopper is big enough to carry liquids, small handbags and maybe a pair of shoes on my shoulder. It's gotta be large enough to hold all my stuff, but still fit within the 'one personal item' category. Is it just me or are airline size restrictions getting smaller and smaller?

You may be asking what's the difference between a tote and a shopper. Honesty, I have no idea. I would like to say a shopper is larger (in most cases it is), BUT handbag styles are blurred these days - there are small totes, and huge clutches.. There's also shopper totes.

I feel like the brand Off-White is having a moment. Admittedly, I'm a little obsessed. This Off-White leather tote (available at mytheresa.com) isn't being enough for my travel needs, but I could find a reason to carry it!

This Prada shearling shopper (available at mytheresa.com) is everything I love - furry, pink, and dons fluffy pompoms. AND it's big enough to hold my weekend getaway bags and shoes. This furry shopper is kinda loud, but who cares. Over-the-top handbags add a little something to an otherwise muted wardrobe. This shearling shopper is also available in yellow and brown hues, with orange pompoms.

This Dolce & Gabbana Beatrice fur shopper (available at mytheresa.com) is not my personal style (not a fan of black), but it's huge and perfect for those "I got a lot of s**t to lug around' days. The other side says LVE in white and red.

Yes, I'm crushing on Prada handbags these days.. I mentioned this Prada fur shopper (available at mytheresa.com) a few weeks ago. It's available in rose with red pompoms and white with blue and green pompoms. This shopper is huge and isn't structured, so you can stuff a lot of everything here.

These shopper styles may be al little out of your budget (mine too), but they're inspiring and a girl can dream..

My Must-Haves

September 13, 2017

When I saw these Alexander Wang Amelia slides (available at Farfetch) on the 2017 Spring/Summer runway, I wanted them in every color. After considering the material, comfort aspect and the fact that I had already purchased three pairs of slides from others brands, I opted not to buy them. The Fall/Winter version of these slides are velvet, and gorgeous maroon color, SO I think I might get these. The color is super-rich and perfect for Fall. This style is so unique, and slides are trending hard this year. LOVE!

If you're into fashion, you've seen this bag. The Chloé Nile cross-body bag (available at Farfetch) is a star this season. I really wanted the minaudière (super tiny style), but it sold out. I did however purchase the 'small' Nile cross-body bag and LOVE it. You can use the shoulder strap, carry the bag like a clutch, or hold it by the heavy gold-tone ring. It's small - I can however get my iPhone 6 Plus in there (and a few other things). This is my favorite bag of the season. Imma keep looking for the minaudière..

Off-White 'For Walking' white pumps (available at Farfetch) are so fun! I'm not a white shoe fan, but if they came in nude with white print, I would absolutely buy them. Off-White also has super-high, over-the-knee boots with 'For Walking' printed down the side.

Yeah, I'm obsessed with Chloé. Eveytime I create an 'I'm Coveting' post, this high-end French brand is always on my need-to-have list (at least once). These Chloé velvet laced booties (available at Farfetch) are everything. I love booties. I'll wear them with jeans, dresses and even joggers. I like the oversized laces on these booties and the chunky heal looks comfy. The older I get, the thicker and shorter my heels get!

Every few weeks I browse my favorite on-line shopping sites to see what's new and trending. Burgundy'ish' tones are dominant this season (I think they usually are in fall). I'm not an orange fan, but the bright orange lining in this jacket is a nice contrast to the rich burgundy (I wouldn't reverse the jacket and don bright orange). This Unravel reversible cropped down jacket (available at mytheresa.com) is perfect for transitioning from Fall to Winter. It's cropped, so not too overwhelming, but down-filled, so it's warm. It's made of water-repellent and water-resistant fabric and the ribbed cuffs lock in heat. I WANT!

I HAVE TO HAVE this Prada feather-trimmed wool scarf (available at mytheresa.com). I like cream-colored scarves - cream shades brighten up an otherwise darker Winter wardrobe. This scarf has a little burgundy (like that), and the feather-embellishment is everything! I like that the feathers are only on one end. I need this - hint hint (you know who I'm hinting at)..
