HUM is an all-natural line of supplements that include tablets, soft gels, gummies and powders. These 'beauty' vitamins have been thoughtfully developed to address lifestyle and beauty concerns. The founders of HUM believe diet alone will not address all of your beauty concerns and regular intake of targeted supplements will give you a little extra boost. There are currently twenty-five HUM supplements sold at Sephora, ranging from cleansing vitamins, dietary supplements, skin, nails and hair vitamins, collagen boosters and sleep supplements. I initially purchased many products from the HUM lineup, but the dietary and cleanse vitamins didn't agree with my stomach. I also struggle with taking vitamins and pills, (especially the large ones), so taking four huge vitamins a day wasn't for me. I did however like the gummies, Collagen POP dissolvable tablets and Beauty zzZz supplements. The Collagen POP tablets consist of premium marine collagen peptides and vitamin C. Combined these supplements boost skin hydration, elasticity and firmness. HUM's type one collagen (premium marine collagen), is the same found in the body AND Vitamin C increases natural collagen in the body. Of course, as we age, the collagen in our body decreases, so it's important to take supplements that encourage collagen production. I've only gone through one container of HUM Collagen POP fizzing tablets and it's too early to say whether or not these tablets make a difference. I do however prefer dissolvable tablets over hard pills and super-sized vitamins. The taste is kinda strange and floral-like. I'm not into drinking or eating flowers, so that's a deterrent. Maybe HUM will produced a fruity flavored tablet - hint hint HUM! I will however continue to drop these dissolvable tablets in my water every other day. If anything, HUM Collagen POP tablets intrigued me and now I'm set on finding a collagen supplement suitable for me. HUM Beauty zzZz vegetarian tablets will absolutely promote a good night sleep. I started taking these sleep enhancing tablets last year - I had so much on my mind, was stressing about life and only sleeping a few hours a night. I was exhausted all of the time and felt like a zombie during the day. These sleep supplements definitely improved my sleep habits. Thankfully, I sleep much better now, BUT once and a while I take these melatonin and B6 supplements when I'm restless. If you're anxious and need to catch up on your zzz's, try taking a Benadryl. This allergy medication puts me right to sleep and keeps me under for hours. I'm not a doctor and am not recommending regular use, but I don't see anything wrong with taking allergy medication - you would after all take one Zyrtec a day during allergy season!

Yeah, it's been two years and I'm still goin' on about my botched hair job. I'm scarred for life! May 17, 2017 (re-post). It's been almost a year since my traumatic and altogether unsuccessful hair transformation. They all (the many hairstylists) said it will take six months to recover my hair. I've been obsessively treating, cutting and babying my strands - Still, eleven months and counting.. Hair grows (it's a fact), but repairing severely damaged hair takes time - Oh, and lots of products. I'm embarrassed to say how much I've spent on hair repair solutions and vitamins. Initially, I was skeptical of Olaplex and didn't have great things to say about this preventative treatment. The stylist who took my hair from black to orange to green to greenish-gray-yellow-blonde (YUP, thats what I ended up with), said Olaplex would protect my hair from the bleach and there would be little damage. NOT TRUE! Clearly this stylist overestimated the treatment and was 'possibly' misinformed. I was still under the impression that Olaplex would repair my hair. I used Olaplex one, two and three for a few months after, but didn't feel like my hair was getting better, so I discontinued the treatments. Some time later my new stylist explained that Olaplex is a preventive treatment, and not a hair repair solution. She said regular applications would keep my hair from being further damaged. I got back on the Olaplex-wagon. Along with intense hydrating masks and vitamins, my hair 'slowly' started to grow. My stylist includes Olaplex step-one in my color solution. After rinsing the color, Olaplex step-two is applied. In between salon visits, I use Olaplex step-three (just once). Admittedly, I've been converted and am a fan of this hair-care product. I'm sure it was a combination of many hair repair products, but so many people think Olaplex is a miracle treatment, that I'm inclined to give this bond multiplier, bond protector and hair protector credit for my healthy, shiny hair. I was excited when I saw Olaplex Shampoo & Conditioner at Sephora. I'm a Bumble and Bumble Hairdresser's Invisible Oil super-fan and have tried a ridiculous number of other shampoos and conditioners, but always go back to Bb. Not this time - Olaplex No.4 Bond Maintenance Shampoo and No.5 Bond Maintenance Conditioner have landed a permanent spot in my haircare routine. The No.4 Bond Maintenance Shampoo has a refreshing citrus scent. I think I smell a slight coconut scent in there too - it reminds of Bumble and Bumble Hairdresser's Invisible Oil shampoo and conditioner. The scent is kinda strong and lingers. The shampoo lathers like crazy. I used my usual dollop and had suds running down my face, neck and back. I suggest starting with a small amount. Typically, if I go three days without washing my hair, I have to shampoo twice, but with Olaplex Bond Maintenance Shampoo, one wash is sufficient. The No.5 Bond Maintenance Conditioner has a similar scent, but less intense and kinda creamy (fitting, considering it's nourishing cream for your hair). This stuff is thick and a little goes a long way. I usually use IGK Prenup Instant Spray Hair Mask after Bumble and Bumble Hairdresser's Invisible Oil, but it's not necessary with Olaplex conditioner. This creamy product is super-nourishing and leaves my hair feeling soft. After using Olaplex shampoo and conditioner, drying and styling, my hair does feel heavier than usual, but knowing that I'm repairing my hair once a week, is worth the weight. I'm a fan!
Olaplex products are kinda pricey, but you don't need a lot of shampoo or conditioner each time you wash. I think these bottles will last me months (washing once a week). I do suggest you alternate shampoo and conditioner brands. This nourishing treatment may be a little heavy for regular use. You can purchase the Olaplex Salon Intro Kit - it includes the No.1 (step 1) Bond Multiplier, No.2 (step 2) Bond Perfector and No.3 (step 3) Hair Perfector. You an also purchase No.3 in a 100 ml bottle for more frequent use. If you have damaged hair, or just want to give your hair some extra love once and a while, I highly recommend Olaplex No.4 Bond Maintenance Shampoo and No.5 Bond Maintenance Conditioner. The repairing shampoo and super-moisturizing conditioner will leave your hair feeling soft, shiny and healthy. ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I'm a little obsessed with Gucci these days. I can't afford any of it, BUT a girl can dream.. This Gucci oversized cotton t-shirt is perfect (available at Mytheresa). There is an adorable fawn print on the front and a floral print with a lady bug on the back. The green Gucci lettering is a nice contrast from the pink. This oversized t-shirt would look great with blue jeans and strappy, high-heel sandals. Gucci's leaf-brocade lace bomber jacket (available in major department stores and Farfetch) is feminine and sporty. The striped hem, cuffs, baseball collar and chest patch say "I'm a cool girl" and the delicate lace is pretty and refined. Along side the Gucci lettering, the floral, embroidered appliqué chest patch is consistent with the collection. I like the red piping along the shoulder line and green piping down the zipper. The green, white and red stripes and red and green piping represent the Italian flag . There's a lot of detail in this design - LOVE! There are matching flower-lace jogging pants with red and green piping and striped cuffs - SO Erika Girardi. I'm coveting these Dolce & Gabbana Amore flared jeans (available at Farfetch). I haven't worn flares in years, but love that the trend may be on the way back in. The three shades of blue denim and denim patches with red stitching give these jeans a fun, loving, 70's vibe. I was just in Nashville and had an amazing time. I had hoped to get cowboy boots, but didn't get a chance to go shopping - probably for the best! When I saw these Fendi pink crocodile-embossed ankle boots (available at Fendi), I was happy that I missed out on the cowboy boots in Nashville. This cowboy bootie design is gorgeous. I'm obsessed with pale pink shades and this color is perfect. The low boot leg is nice, cause I'm short and the heel is the perfect height. I NEED THESE BOOTS.. I just learned that Gucci has a décor collection and I want everything! The collection is fun, glamorous and way outta my budget. There's candles, dishes, folding tables, gorgeous chairs, panel screens and cushions. I have a Toy Poodle named Teddy Bear, so of course I'm coveting this Gucci embroidered needlepoint teddy bear cushion (available at Gucci) - SO CUTE! The misspelt 'Guccy' lettering references hashtags on social media. AND it's pink (well, on one side). This Gucci décor collection is inspiring me. Yup, another Gucci design on my 'must-have' list. This Gucci Florentia tote bag (available at Farfetch) is perfect for fall/winter travels. The red and black gingham pattern reminds me of the classic hunters flannel shirt. This is labeled a mens tote, but anyone can don this oversized, wool bag. Like many designs in this collection, there's a floral appliqué. The Florentia L'orta Di Giove slogan references Florence and part of the Boboli Gardens of Palazzo Pitti. ![]()

Lipstick, lip balms, lip exfoliators, lip treatments.. I'm addicted to lip'stuff'! It's not even possible to use everything in my giant Cosmocube, but I just cant help myself. My latest lip loves are the perfect summer shades and a new nourishing balm. Too Faced quickly became one of my favorite cosmetic brands this year. I purchased everything from the Peach collection and now I'm addicted. This Too Faced Peach Beach lipstick is the perfect coral shade. The color enhances sun-kissed skin and gives a pop of flirty, summer color. It's not bright (or florescent - like some), but rather a subtle coral. The creamy product glides on nicely and feels like it's nourishing your lips. The scent is kinda strange and off-putting (oh, and it lingers). I think they were going for a peach scent, but I'm confused by the outcome? Albeit, I still love the color and the texture is nice. The packaging is attractive, solid and goes well with my Pat McGrath Labs Lip Fetish Lip Balm.. Since Sephora discontinued my favorite Kiss Me lip balm, I've been on the hunt for a balm just a good (it's been a struggle). I've purchased a few great ones, but everything pales in comparison to the Kiss Me Balm. Pat McGrath Labs Lip Fetish Lip Balm is definitely a contender for the favorite title. The packaging is great, solid and I love the gold-tone lips embellishment. The barely-there scent is subtle (I like that). The balm is creamy (I can feel a little wax), lightweight and feels nice. It's lighter than most balms I've tried, but you can feel the product on your lips. The Sephora Collection #lipstories lipstick lineup currently consist of 40 thoughtfully packaged shades in matte, metallic and satin finish. I love the decorative tubes. They're small and each one dons art representing adventures around the world. The packaging itself seems a little cheap, but don't be fooled - the lipstick is good quality. I'm a nude, peach and coral lipstick kinda girl. I rarely sway from my go-to shades, but if you love trying new colors, this collection is perfect. The lipsticks are inexpensive and small. You won't feel terrible if you dislike the color and toss it. I purchased satin finish 03 OUI! (cream finish) and 06 Tan Lines (cream finish). These shades are perfect for my skin tone. They are lightweight and still give you full-coverage. 03 OUI! is a pale rose tone and 06 Tan lines is more nude with a little hint of peach. The lipstick goes on nicely and doesn't dry out your lips. I always apply a nourishing lip balm minutes before applying lipstick (you should try this method). Both lipsticks have a fruity scent, so I'm assuming they all do. I'm not a scented lipstick fan, but could it be worse and smell like flowers! YES, they're are floral scented lipsticks! YUCK! I'm a fan of the Sephora Collection #lipstories lipstick collection. Sephora - PLEASE stop discontinuing our favorites and bring back the Kiss Me Balm! ![]()
